§ 1 Scope

(1) These general terms and conditions apply to all contracts for the delivery of goods, for additional services and for the dispatch of free material samples that you conclude with Furnhouse ApS via our online shop www.ibbedesign.de. The version valid at the time of your order applies.

(2) Our offer is aimed exclusively at consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 BGB). Separate agreements apply to business customers.

(3) Deviating terms of the customer do not form part of the contract unless we expressly agree to their validity.

§ 2 Contracting party and contact

§ 3 Conclusion of the contract

(1) The presentation of products in our online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but a non-binding invitation to you to order goods.

(2) The ordering process is as follows:

  1. You select the desired products and add them to the cart. Additional services and material samples can be added on the product page or in the cart.
  2. In the cart, you can review your selection, change quantities and remove products.
  3. The checkout button takes you to the checkout process. There you enter your contact details as well as your delivery and billing address and choose the shipping method and payment method.
  4. Before you submit the order, all details (products, prices, shipping costs, addresses, payment method) are shown to you again in an overview. You can correct input errors using the respective edit functions or the back function of your browser. You can cancel the ordering process at any time by closing the browser window.
  5. By clicking the final order button, you submit a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract for the goods and services contained in the cart.

(3) Immediately after submitting the order, you will receive an automatically generated email confirming receipt of your order (order acknowledgement). The order acknowledgement does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer.

(4) We may accept your offer within one week, either by an express order confirmation in text form (e.g. by email) or by dispatching the goods. Whichever occurs first is decisive. The period begins on the day after you submit your order. If we do not accept your offer within this period, it is deemed rejected; you are then no longer bound by your order.

(5) When paying by PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, Bancontact, BLIK or MobilePay, the payment transaction is initiated immediately after the order is submitted. If no contract is concluded, we will refund any payments already made without delay.

(6) In the event of obvious errors in the product presentation or price information (e.g. typing, printing or calculation errors), we reserve the right to refuse acceptance or to contest our declaration in accordance with the statutory provisions (§§ 119 et seq. BGB). Any payments already made will be refunded without delay in this case.

§ 4 Contract language, storage of the contract text, customer account

(1) The only language available for concluding the contract is German.

(2) We store the contract text. You will receive the order details and these terms and conditions by email. You can view and print the current terms and conditions at any time at https://ibbedesign.de/policies/terms-of-service.

(3) If you have created a customer account, you can view your past orders in your customer account. A customer account is not required to place an order.

§ 5 Prices and shipping costs

(1) All prices are final prices in euros and include statutory VAT.

(2) Delivery by GLS parcel is free to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, and two-person delivery is free within Germany and Austria. For GLS parcel delivery to other countries, shipping costs depend on the value of the goods in the order; they are listed on our "Shipping" page (https://ibbedesign.de/pages/versand) and are shown during checkout. For express kerbside delivery (DB Schenker) and for additional services under § 9, the costs stated on the product page, in the cart and during checkout apply.

§ 6 Payment

(1) The following payment methods are available to you: bank transfer in advance, PayPal, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, Bancontact, BLIK and MobilePay. The payment methods available in each individual case are shown during checkout.

(2) Bank transfer in advance: You will receive our bank details with the order confirmation by email. Please transfer the invoice amount without delay, stating the order number. The goods will be shipped once payment has been received. Unpaid orders are not reserved.

(3) PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay: The amount is charged immediately after the order is submitted via the respective payment service provider in accordance with its terms.

(4) Klarna: If you choose a Klarna payment method (e.g. invoice or instalments), payment is processed by Klarna Bank AB (publ). Klarna's terms, which are shown to you during checkout, apply. Klarna may decline the payment method after an identity and credit check; in this case, please choose another payment method.

(5) If you are in default of payment, we are entitled to charge default interest at the statutory rate. We reserve the right to claim further damages caused by default.

§ 7 Delivery area, shipping methods and delivery times

(1) We deliver to Germany and Austria. Items sent by GLS parcel can also be delivered to selected other EU countries; the delivery countries available in each case are shown during checkout. No delivery is made to the French overseas territories, the Åland Islands, the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira, or Ceuta and Melilla. Self-collection and delivery to parcel lockers are not possible.

(2) The shipping method depends on the size and weight of the item and is stated on the respective product page:

  • GLS parcel delivery for smaller items: Delivery to the delivery address provided. After dispatch, you will receive a tracking link. Delivery time usually 2 to 4 working days (Germany), 3 to 5 working days (Austria) or 4 to 7 working days (other countries), in each case plus a processing time of 1 working day.
  • Two-person delivery for furniture and bulky items: Delivery is made by DHL or a regional delivery partner to the room of your choice in your home. The delivery partner will contact you in advance by phone or email to arrange a delivery date. Delivery time usually 10 to 20 working days; final delivery depends on the appointment agreed with you. Set-up and assembly are not included, but can be booked as an additional service under § 9.
  • Express delivery by freight carrier (DB Schenker): Delivery to the kerbside of your delivery address only, without transport into the building. Depending on the delivery partner, the goods are delivered on a pallet or individually. Delivery time usually 2 to 7 working days. Price: €145.00.

(3) The delivery time applicable to each item is stated on the product page. If you pay by bank transfer in advance, the delivery period begins on the day after you instruct your bank to make the transfer; for all other payment methods, it begins on the day after the contract is concluded. If the end of the period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday recognised at the place of delivery, the period ends on the next working day. Delivery takes place Monday to Friday unless Saturday or evening delivery has been booked under § 9.

(4) If an order contains items with different shipping methods or delivery times, we may deliver them separately. This will not result in any additional shipping costs for you.

(5) At your request, we can also ship your order at a later date. Please let us know in the notes field during checkout or via our customer service. This requires the order to have been paid in full in advance.

(6) The risk of accidental loss and accidental deterioration of the goods only passes to you when the goods are handed over to you.

§ 8 Cooperation in delivery

(1) Before ordering, please check, using the dimensions stated on the product page, whether the goods can be transported through the building entrance, doors, stairwell and, if applicable, lift to the desired location.

(2) For two-person delivery and delivery by freight carrier, please make sure that you or a person authorised by you are present at the delivery address at the agreed time and that the delivery address is accessible for the delivery vehicle. If you cannot keep an agreed appointment, please inform the delivery partner or us as early as possible.

(3) If delivery fails for reasons for which you are responsible (e.g. incorrect delivery address or phone number, absence at the agreed appointment without timely cancellation), we may charge you the reasonable additional costs incurred as a result, in particular for a further delivery attempt or return transport. You are entitled to prove that we incurred no costs or lower costs. Your statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected.

§ 9 Additional services

(1) For items delivered by two-person delivery, you can book the following additional services for an extra charge: set-up of upholstered furniture (ready to use), furniture assembly, dismantling of existing furniture, removal and disposal of packaging, removal and disposal of old furniture, Saturday delivery and evening delivery. Availability, scope of services and prices are stated on the product page, in the cart and on our "Additional services" page.

(2) The additional services are provided by our delivery partner on the agreed delivery date. For safety reasons, assembly does not include drilling into walls or ceilings. Wall mounting of furniture, mirrors, pictures or headboards and electrical installations (e.g. connecting lights) are not included.

(3) Additional services can only be booked together with a two-person delivery.

§ 10 Free material samples

(1) We offer free fabric, leather and wood samples so that you can check the colour, texture and material before buying. The samples and their shipping are free of charge for you.

(2) A maximum of 3 material samples in total is sent per customer. Orders with an identical name, identical delivery address or identical email address are considered to be from the same customer.

(3) If a sample order exceeds this maximum, we reserve the right to send only 3 samples or to reject the sample order entirely. There is no entitlement to the dispatch of further samples. We will inform you of this by email.

(4) Material samples are only available while stocks last. As these are predominantly natural materials, the goods delivered may differ slightly from the sample in colour and texture (e.g. due to different production batches or the natural grain of wood).

§ 11 Unavailability of goods

If an ordered item is not available after conclusion of the contract for reasons for which we are not responsible (e.g. because our supplier does not deliver to us despite a timely order, or in the event of force majeure), we will inform you without delay. In this case, we are entitled to withdraw from the contract. We will refund any payments already made without delay.

§ 12 Retention of title

The goods remain our property until the purchase price has been paid in full.

§ 13 Transport damage

(1) Please check the delivery on handover for externally visible transport damage to the packaging and goods. If possible, have any visible damage confirmed in writing by the delivery driver.

(2) Please report transport damage, if possible within 48 hours of delivery, to support@furnhouse.com and attach clear photos of the goods and packaging. This helps us assert our claims against the carrier.

(3) Failure to make a complaint or to contact us in accordance with paragraphs 1 and 2 has no consequences whatsoever for your statutory rights, in particular not for your statutory warranty rights and your right of withdrawal.

§ 14 Statutory warranty (liability for defects)

(1) The statutory warranty applies to all goods. As the seller, we are liable for defects that exist at the time the goods are handed over to you and that become apparent within at least two years of handover. Under the law of individual EU member states, this minimum period may be longer.

(2) If a defect becomes apparent within one year of handover, it is presumed to have existed at the time of handover, unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the defect (§ 477 BGB).

(3) If the goods are defective, you may initially demand, at your choice, that the defect be remedied (repair) or that goods free of defects be delivered (replacement). We will inform you of this right of choice before subsequent performance. If you choose repair and it is carried out, the original limitation period for your claims due to a defect is extended once by twelve months (§ 475e (5) BGB). We may only refuse the chosen type of subsequent performance if it is impossible or would involve disproportionate costs. We bear the costs required for subsequent performance, including transport costs.

(4) If subsequent performance fails, if we refuse it or if it is unreasonable for you, you may withdraw from the contract or reduce the purchase price in accordance with the statutory provisions and, under the conditions of § 16, claim damages.

(5) Please report defects to support@furnhouse.com with a brief description and clear photos. For justified claims, you will receive a free return label for any necessary return, or we will arrange collection.

(6) We draw your attention to the following material- and use-related characteristics which, insofar as they are within the usual quality, do not constitute a defect: wood is a natural material, and differences in colour, grain and texture are normal; fabric covers may develop pilling over the course of use; seat cushions settle over time and become softer; colours may appear slightly different on screens depending on the settings. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

(7) The statutory warranty must be distinguished from a voluntary commercial guarantee (§ 15). It applies regardless of whether a guarantee is additionally granted for an item and is free of charge for you.

§ 15 Guarantees

(1) An additional guarantee only exists if it is expressly stated on the respective product page. Where we offer a guarantee extension as a separate product, the guarantor, content, territorial scope, duration and the procedure for making a claim are set out in the guarantee terms stated there, which we will provide to you on a durable medium no later than on delivery.

(2) Guarantees apply in addition to your statutory warranty rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted by a guarantee, and exercising them is free of charge.

§ 16 Liability

(1) We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the provisions of the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) and to the extent of any guarantee we have assumed.

(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for the contract at the time it was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely.

(3) Otherwise, liability for damage caused by slight negligence is excluded.

(4) The above limitations of liability also apply in favour of our vicarious agents and delivery partners.

§ 17 Right of withdrawal and withdrawal policy

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal in accordance with the following policy.

Withdrawal policy

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Furnhouse ApS, N.J. Haustrups Vej 31, DK-5220 Odense SØ, Denmark, phone: +45 53 65 41 45, email: support@furnhouse.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://ibbedesign.de/pages/widerruf-formular. If you use this online function, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium (e.g. by email) without delay, including information on the content of the withdrawal statement and the date and time of its receipt.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Furnhouse ApS, N.J. Haustrups Vej 31, DK-5220 Odense SØ, Denmark, without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. For goods which, by their nature, cannot normally be returned by post, the cost is estimated at a maximum of approximately EUR 80.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

End of withdrawal policy

§ 19 Information on returns

(1) Before returning furniture and bulky items, please contact us at support@furnhouse.com so that we can arrange the return shipment or collection for you. As a guide, return costs are usually €15 for parcels up to 60 × 50 × 50 cm, €49 for shipments on a EUR pallet (e.g. armchair) and €79 for shipments on a double EUR pallet (e.g. sofa, wardrobe, dining table).

(2) Please pack the goods for return in such a way that they are protected against transport damage, if possible in the original packaging.

(3) The information in this § 19 is not a prerequisite for the effective exercise of your right of withdrawal.

§ 20 Voluntary 30-day right of return

(1) In addition to your statutory right of withdrawal (§ 17), we voluntarily grant you the right to return goods to us within 30 days of receipt. If several goods are delivered in separate shipments, the period begins on receipt of the last item.

(2) Within the first 14 days, the statutory right of withdrawal under § 17 applies to you in any case. The conditions in the following paragraphs only apply to returns that you declare after the statutory withdrawal period has expired.

(3) The voluntary return is subject to the condition that the goods are unused, without signs of use and complete, and are returned in their original packaging. The packaging must not show any damage caused by you (e.g. cuts or tears). If the original packaging is missing, we charge a handling and packaging fee of €25.00 for the voluntary return.

(4) Excluded from the voluntary return are additional services already provided (§ 9), free material samples (§ 10) and items purchased at a reduced price.

(5) Please register the return before shipping by contacting support@furnhouse.com and stating your order number. For furniture and bulky items, we will arrange the return shipment or collection for you. You bear the direct costs of the return; as a guide, the amounts stated in § 19 (1) apply.

(6) After receipt and inspection of the returned goods, we will refund the purchase price paid for these goods within 14 days. For the refund, we use the same means of payment that you used for the original payment, unless otherwise agreed.

(7) The voluntary right of return applies in addition to your statutory rights. Your statutory right of withdrawal and your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected and are not restricted by the conditions of this § 20.

§ 21 Dispute resolution

(1) We always endeavour to resolve concerns and complaints amicably. Please contact our customer service first at support@furnhouse.com.

(2) We are not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

(3) Irrespective of this, as a consumer you can submit a complaint under Danish law to Nævnenes Hus (Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager or Forbrugerklagenævnet), Toldboden 2, DK-8800 Viborg, www.naevneneshus.dk, as our registered office is in Denmark.

(4) For cross-border disputes within the EU, you can also contact the European Consumer Centre Germany (www.evz.de) or Austria (www.europakonsument.at) free of charge.

§ 22 Code of conduct

We have submitted to the code of conduct of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Straße 15c, 50823 Cologne, Germany. You can view the code of conduct by clicking on the Trusted Shops seal displayed on our website or at www.trustedshops.de.

§ 23 Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law only applies insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection granted to you by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.

§ 24 Final provisions

Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, the remainder of the contract shall remain valid. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the statutory provisions (§ 306 BGB).

Terms and conditions as of: 28 October 2026
